I came upon Sarah Hankinson's sketches through her Facebook page the other day. Her fashion illustrations are simply amazing! I wish I was able to create such masterpieces with use of just a grey lead pencils and not requiring the use of photoshop. Gaze in awe at her talent at http://www.sarahhankinson.com.au/

Intern -Day 2
Wow interning at Bennywithlove is almost the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
We started off with lunch, followed by checking out the South Yarra Market, a trip to savers to find bargain priced tea cups and deck chairs for our project (Oh, you just wait and see!), and finished by a coffee date with the fabulous Elle Hendren and her up-coming label 'Harry Hart'. Doesn't sound much like work does it?!
South Yarra Market is a newly established fashion market which features a delicious array of stall holders selling all things vintage: whether it be leather fringed biker jackets, an assortment of brogues or 80's prom frocks. Deffinately worth a check out, and most pieces are priced fairly decently from $5-30 per item.
Where to find? It's in an undercover warehouse at:

High Tea
High tea at the Botanical Gardens is what I'd consider of this mini-shoot thanks to my amazing photographer friend Natly (this girl has got talent - watch out front-page Vogue!)
I'm no model, so stripping half-naked in the middle of botanical gardens whilst drunken picnickers and black swans glared from around was quite an experience in itself! These shots were taken a whilst back, but thought I would share; the colour palette seems to capture the beautiful yet whimsical nature of the gardens.
Note: I am aware I look like Nelly Yuki off Gossipgirl with these thick-brimmed glasses - asian nerd chic?
Final garment - couple outtakes
Last year saw the dedication of every Thursday afternoon spent at the v.e.t fashion design course which I undertook as part of my vce. These are a couple snaps from the photoshoot of my final garment.
Before you start criticizing the enormity of the shoulders or other such un-wearable aspects of it, I remind you that it was never designed with the intentions of being a practical, wearable garment.
We explored corsetry in class, which I incorporated into the dress in the form of velvet (note to self: never attempt to make a corset out of velvet again, as you may have difficulties trying to fuse shapewell onto the fabric without using an iron, - which would damage the texture).
The inspiration was the magnificent structural shells of the Sydney Opera House, but with a nature VS architecture twist. The venue seemed to capture this element perfectly. I had invisioned a garden partch amongst a architectural steel-like space (think Sydney Opera house, but which is located right next to the Botanical gardens), and we just so happened to find this tucked away corner at Federation Square amongst the chaos of the Melbourne city.
A thousand thanks and hugs to:

Aloha, again.
Its been that long since my last blog post that it would almost be accurate to call this my first. Priscilla meet blogging world, blogging world meet Priscilla.
Embarking on an unpredictably wild roller coaster ride which I like to refer to as year 12 VCE, 2010 saw my blogging life quickly diminish - almost like watching my bank account disappear after a few strenuous hours perusing on ASOS.
Yet here we are, and while it's no where near New Years or the first day at a new school, it almost feels like a new start.
I hope to share with you life through my eyes, and as a warning in advanced (so we can both avoid the awkward 'I told you so' moments), it encompasses a little too much style-stalking, vogue trawling and breakfast dating.
